‘As I have loved you, so you must love one another.’
John 13:34-35
Through our Christian vision and values, we strive to provide a rich learning environment for all pupils whatever their need.
Caring
We respect and care for everyone in our school community and beyond
Our children need love and care to help them flourish, both as children and as adults. We teach our children to be loving and caring towards everyone in our school community and beyond. In the Bible, Jesus says ‘I give you a new command: love each other. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.’ (John 13:34)
Considerate
We are welcoming and hospitable to everyone – we value differences
All our children, no matter where they come from or what needs they may have, are included and part of our school. We teach children to be considerate and welcoming of everyone, and to use their gifts and talents to help each other: we value difference in everyone in our school community and beyond. In the Bible, St Paul says ‘Don’t forget to do good to others, and share with them what you have. These are the sacrifices that please God.’ (Hebrews 13:15)
Courageous
Even when we face difficulties and problems, we never give up
Our children may face difficulties in life, and they need to be courageous to face these difficulties. We teach our children that when we face difficulties, we do not give up. In the Bible, God tells us ‘Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.’ (Joshua 1:9)
